More and more brides and grooms are including a slide, or photo montage, set to music, chronicling their lives together up to their special day as part of their wedding day festivities. The slide show can also include childhood photographs, photographs of your favorite loved ones and photographs of special events in your past. The slide show is a moving tribute to you, you and your significant other, both of you as a couple, your family, friends and all those who have made you who you are and guided you through life, ultimately to the point where you met the love of your life, culminating in this day; your wedding day.
Imagine a trusted friend, with a digital camera documenting all of the serious and funny moments leading up to the wedding ceremony and receptions. These photos can be taken from the digital camera media for play, as a "real time"slideshow, throughout the evening, entertaining all those in attendance.
It truly is a wonderful gift for all those attending your wedding a receptions as they truly will get a sense of who you both are and why destiny brought both of you together.
The slide show/montage is not just solely for brides and groom. Staff parties can include a montage depicting the funny moments and the funny people at your workplace, significant achievements and the like. Set with the appropriate music and captioning of photographs, a slide show/montage can be the "hit" of the party, excluding of couurse your disc jockey (us).
There certainly is a place at any event for a slideshow/montage; the montage can even include video!
If you are considering a montage and are technically inclined, or know someone who is; you can put the motage together. Simply insure that the DVD disc can be played on a stand-alone dvd player. If you plan on using a self-produced dvd slideshow/montage at your event, the disc should be in our hands at least a month before the event.
The only additional cost with this option is a small "rental" fee for the projector (you or the venue will have to supply the screen). Our cost is significantly less than what it would cost to rent from a local video/camera shop. As well, you do not have the worry of having to pick up and return the equipment.
The other option, if you are not so technically inclined, is to have us put together the slideshow/montage. We have all the appropriate software to create a professional looking slideshow/montage. For us to create the show, we would require from you: photographs, video's and other media you want included in the show, as well as a list of what songs you would like as background music.
Creating a slideshow/montage involves many, many hours of work; from cataloging the media to be used, scanning and coverting to a digital form all analog media and creating the show. Given the time necessary, we require your materials to be in our hands at least 4 months prior to your event.
Our charges for creating a show vary, depending on the amount of media involved...on average, you should budget $250.00 to $400.00 to create your slideshow/montage of approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
